Bilbao for me
In Bilbao there is the Guggenheim, one of the most important museums in the world, and lots of people say that both the structure inside and outside is very beautiful. I love the structure outside but after being into it I could tell you that its inside isn´t very interesting.
There is also another curious fact. I´m talking about the house cooking in Bilbao, its really good. Apart from being very good, people (specially mothers) usually buy food in the market and after that, cook it at home.
There are two oficial languages: Spanish and Euskara. The first, is used all over Spain. Experts, has recently said that Euskara is the most difficult language in the world. That makes me feel inportant.
Finally I would like to talk about Mus. Its a very interesting card game invented near Bilbao lots of years ago.

Lekeitio
I live in Bilbao during the week because I study here. But where I really lived during the very first days of my life is another place: Lekeitio. It´s a town located in the province of Biscay,in the Spanish Autonomous Comumnity of the Basque Country.
This lovely town has 7,293 inhabitants in winter, but in the summer season the situation changes considerably because tourism has a very important role. Then, the village becomes a resort with a beach called "Isuntza" and another one nearby, "Carraspio".
It´s one of the most important fishing ports on the Basque coast. Some years ago, almost all the inhabitants from Lekeitio had jobs related to the sea, even the women. There aren´t many immigrants but some have arrived over the last years.

Bilbo
Although it's not the capital of the Basque Country,it could be perfectly. Located in Biscay(Bizkaia in Basque),is one of the provinces of the Basque Country. It has the Euskalduna Palace and the Guggenheim museum, which in my opinion are the most important buildings, and have attract a large number of tourists in the last decade.
Bilbo is surrounded by several little mountains that makes it a city..not exactly in the middle of nature, but full of life and interesting places to visit.
The city is divided by the Nervion river. It is also known as the Estatuary of Bilbao on its final tract. There is a boat service available for anybody who wants to go on a trip, from Bilbao to the near village Portugalete, where the Nervion finishes its course.
The municipality of Bilbao is delimited by two small mountains,Artxanda and Pagasarri. The second one os considerably much higher than the other.
Anyway, Artxanda has got funicular who links Bilbao with a beautiful recreational area at the top of the mountain, which has a park, several restaurants,a hotel and a sports complex. It offers a panoramic visit of the whole city.I really recommend to go and stay there one afternoon.
Another important aspect of Bilbo is the importance that its transport have had in the last years. The "Metro" ,very similar to the underground but much bigger and clean; the new tramway which crosses nearly the whole city...They both are a perfect way to travel from one part of the city to the other, at least iy you are lazy or if you don't want to get tired.
Lekeitio by Uxue
Lekeitio is a small fisherman´s town situated on Spain´s north coast.
I wasn´t born there because the medical services aren´t as advanced as in Bilbao, but I lived in Lekeitio until I started school.I like it because it´s not a big town so people is very close to each other.
Lekeitio is a tourist town, reasons for this are it´s magnificent views and the lovely people living in that town.In winter the population is about seven thousand people, but in summer it amounts to over thirty thousand habitants.
What gives to Lekeitio a special thing is undoubtedly its precious port.Though not very big, it has been sufficient both for small crafts and for the fishing boats of the town.
Talking about the economy, fishing is the most important activity in Lekeitio, there are fresh fish markets and stores to repair fishing boats.
By the way,in Lekeitio there are two important celebrations, those of San Pedro and the San Antolín´s ones.
San Pedro.
Is celebrated because the saint San Pedro.
The curious fact in that day,29th of june,is the Kaxarranka,a dance which consists of a boy dancing on a large chest carried by eight people.
The dancer wears a dress-coat, with a shirt and white trousers. In the neck he wears a kind of red scarf and holds a carnation, also red, in the lapel. In his right hand he holds a hat and in the left hand a red flag with San's Pedro emblem.
San Antolin
This party days are celebrated because the saint of the town San Antolin.
We celebrate since 1st of september until 8th of september, and the most important day is the 5th,called "Antzarrak",where we play a kind of game rowing in the boats and trying to hold a gander.
Other special places in Lekeitio and one of the most important reasons for going so many tourists during summer are it´s fabolous beaches, one called "isuntza",other one called "salvaje" and the last one "carraspio".Another important thing, that in my opinion I sould mention is this town´s extraordinary gastronomy, based on seefish and red meet.
Personally,I do like the calm of the town,I really relax when I´m there and also is a place where you can have a lot of fun.
Bilbao ("the hole") (Iñigo)
Bilbao has a particularly name (the hole) because it´s surrounded by a lot of mountains. It has an Old Town, there you can find a lot of typical shops. We have a good selection of hotel, from 3 stars to 5 stars.
Bilbao has a lot of universities, but the most important is the university of Deusto, there you can learn; Law, Philosophy, Education, Business , Theology, Politics and Sociology, Engineering.
You can travel to Bilbao by plane and boat, because it has got both a really modern airport and a huge port. In Bilbao there's also an award-winning underground and you go use it to travel through the city and visit a lot of exciting places, like Doña Casilda park, big department stores like "El Corte Ingles" which is on the main street, the Gran Via and the Guggenheim. This museum is the best known not only in the Basque Country but in the whole of Spain.
If you want to experience a great atmosphere then on most Sundays Bilbao there is a party because Athletic club, its team, plays football. Historically it has been one of the most important football teams in Spain. All of the players of this team are Basque.
One year the Formula World Series came to Bilbao, it was impressive, all of the city was transform into a circuit.
There are a lot of restaurants which serve Basque food, you can eat "bakalao al pil pil"and "txuleton". From my point of view the best food ever!!!
Finally I would like you to come to Bilbao it´s a great city.

"el Botxo"
In my opinion, Bilbao´s infrastucture and transportation is excellent because there´s a big diversity and it is very well comunicated. The underground has worked for around 15 years and it´s still as clean as it was the day of his openning, so that he has won some important prizes. Besides, the bus lines are very good, because Bilbao has two different types of buses depending where are you going to: Bilbobus or Bizkaibus. Although its airport isn´t in the middle of Bilbao and it isn´t very big, it is one of the most modern airports in the world: it similar to a dove, that´s why its name is "the dove".
On the other hand, Bilbao´s gastronomy is very famous. My favorite food is "bacalao al pil-pil" and it consist of a cod in green sauce. I like mushrooms too, because they are an special part of our mountains like Pagasarri and Artxanda.
Finally, I would like to speak about Bilbao´s sports teams that they are both of them in the spanish first divisions (LFP and ACB, two of the most important leagues in Europe)and they also play in European leagues (Europe League and Eurocup).

DO YOU KNOW BILBAO?
Another advantage is that Bilbao has got an underground(in fact is the cleanest underground in Europe) which makes easier to travel between Bilbao and the other villages.

Bilbao, the big one
This city is very attractive for lots of reasons, but the thing that I like most is it's gastronomy. The difference between Bilbao and the rest of the Basque Country in this aspect is not only it's great fish and meat, it's that there's a huge cultural diversification, where you can find every kind of restaurant: Argentinian, Chinese, Japanese... even Turkish ones. It's the home of magnifical cooks too, like Carlos Arguiñano.
Bilbao is also known as an artistic centre due to his historical buildings. Probably, the most famous one is the Guggeheim museum, which is also in New York (but not as beautiful as the one here). But the Guggenheim museum is only a little part of all the art in Bilbao. In fact, there are lots of places to see and admire, such as the Arriaga theatre, the San Mames cathedral or the old part, named "Casco Viejo".
The biggest festival in Bilbao is called "Semana Grande", which is held every year, attracting more than 100,000 people during the 9 days it lasts. The celebration includes all kind of activities, like strongman games, free music performances, street entertainment...
There's a symbol for this big party called Marijaia, which is shown in the beginning of the festival.
But if I haven't convinced you yet to come to Bilbao, to walk through its marvellous streets, discover its amazing history or just have a good time at any cafe, drinking the famous "kalimotxo", there's another reason that will open your eyes. Because there's something that will make you're journey worth it. Yes, I'm obviously talking about entering into San Mames and seeing the authentic Athletic Club Bilbao, the only perfect club in the world. You can't refuse to come now.

Your home town
Now write a post on your home town. Make it as interesting as you can so that anybody reading your post would like to visit it. Try to avoid cliches such as: Bilbao is very beautiful or Athletic is the best football club in the world!
Think about how its population has changed in recent years. How do its immigrant inhabitants affect its life and culture?
Do a Google search or look up your town in Wikepedia to find information that perhaps you didn't know about and can improve your post.
But remember: no copying and pasting! Everything you write should be in your own words. And don't forget do do a spellcheck before you publish your post.
Leicester
My home town is Leicester which, for some reason, you pronounce as "Lesta". But it's a long time since I have lived in there, I moved away when I was seventeen. Then I thought it a very boring place, not particularly big or small, and wanted to live somewhere more exciting. However, now I think differently. There is a great cultural mix in the city with many people second, third and fourth generation immigrants.
You can eat the best Indian food anywhere in Leicester. It's particularly good for vegetarian recipes that originate from the south of India. There are also shops where you can buy material for saris, ingredients for Jamaican dishes and whole streets where Kenyan jewellers display their wares.
Leicester University has an international reputation based on the fact that both students and teachers are engaged in research about space. Leicester Physicists (led by Professor Ken Pounds) played an important role in proving Einstein's General Theory of Relativity - that black holes exist and are common in the universe.
And if you are in search of history, you will find some of the most important Roman remains in the whole of Europe dating from around AD 50 when the city was used as a military settlement.
So if you are thinking of a trip to England, you can see that it's well worth planning a stop there.
