• Read through your classmates' posts and choose the one that interests you most.
• Check out one of the songs of their group/singer on youtube
• Be prepared to talk about what you think about the group/singer and their music.
• Write a comment on your classmates' post summarising your thoughts.
• When you've done that, go to this karaoke page. See if you can find a song from the group/singer you chose or one from your classmates' choice. Get a set of headphones with a mike and sing along to it. (If none of the songs are  there, choose another.)

Bob Marley_ mikel and oier

We have chosen Bob Marley because we like his music.
In our opinion, the reason he became famous was due to the fact that some of the people who were in the Hippie Movemment followed him because his opinion about the world was very similar to their´s: One World, One Love.
He became rich very early but he also helped poor people. He had a lot of success because of his songs and he ended up one of the most famous people in the world.

Lady Gaga - Lierni and Uxue

Lady Gaga is 23 and she comes from a good Italian New York family.She has always liked rock,pop,theatre and entertaining all the people around her;so when she found out about Queen and David Bowie she realized she could do all that three.By the way,her name comes from a song of Queen called "Radio Gaga".
Recently,she became famous because she caught everybody´s attention with her songs "Just Dance" and "Poker Face".
Another reason for her success is having helped the famous star "Akon" with some of his songs,in her early beginnings.
We think that Lady Gaga has became successful because she catchs people´s attention and her songs are easy to dance to,and have good music.

Simple Plan (Monica and Alaitz)

We think that the Canadian group Simple Plan has been successful for many reasons: First of all,their music is basically for teenagers and young people,and these people are the ones who like sharing music with people most. Besides,the topics of their songs are love,free time,parents and their children, freedom,and that kind of thing. "Your love is a lie" for example, is about love. Moreover, "Welcome To My Life" is about somebody who has just met someone, and it became famous because it appeared in an advertisement, and that's another reason why their music is popular.

Apart from music, Simple Plan has set up an association to help people to give up drugs and alcohol; and we think that it is a very important.

Bob Marley

Bob Marley marked an era, because he developed reggae music like no one has done before. Due to his influence in this music style, reggae became extremely popular and known troughout the whole world. The Wailers tour in 1980 attracted the largest audiences at that time for any musical act in Europe.

He also represented an icon of the rastafari movement. His departure from this planet came at a point when his vision One World, One Love was beginning to be heard and felt. He was loved as an idol because he didn't just say what he thought, he also tried to help people, so he caused a great impact in the 1st and in the 3rd world.

• Include a video of your group/singer from youtube in your post if you want.
